There are plenty of throbbing establishments open 24 hours where you can wet your whistle and get well on your way to alcoholic nirvana. Some of the best bars are situated on top of 5-star hotels and provide awe-inspiring views, while you’ll find that most successful bars also serve good food at reasonable prices.

City of WomenThe sky is a different color here, or is it?” I asked, looking down from the twilight sky to find my companions preoccupied with a scene of a different sort. Transfixed they were on the sight of several dozen quite attractive young women who had seemingly sprung from nowhere and were strolling about in small groups, not a man to be seen in the vicinity. “Yes, things certainly seem different here…” chimed in my travel companions.

These overpowering urban landmarks were erected between 1947 and 1953 under orders from then Soviet supreme leader Joseph Stalin, and built for the purpose of amazing visitors and providing a focal point for the surrounding metropolis.
