Keeping it Up - Kim Kardashian

By Rollo Tomasi

Armenia as a republic of the U.S.S.R., and excepting the Stalin period, seemed to have enjoyed a healing interlude from centuries of war and occupation by Arabs, Persians, Mongols and Turks. Today, as the result of Soviet annexation, many prominent Russian businessmen, statesmen, educators and scientists, actors and musicians of Armenian descent contribute significantly to not only CIS, but to global society.

Armenian diaspora, estimated at 8 million, spans the map with the largest concentrations in Russia, France and the U.S. Andre Agassi, George Deukmejian, Jerry Tarkanian, Charles Aznavour, Adrienne Barbeau, Cher, Gregory Peck, Dita Von Teese, Garo Yepremian, Art Laboe, George Kirkorian, Leon Redbone, the Hughes brothers and System of a Down all claim Armenian ancestry.

Los Angeles in particular, has a huge and highly developed Armenian population. Spawn of this Armenian colony, a modern day princess, if you will, of L.A’s entertainemt community is Kimberly Noel “Kim” Kardashian. Born October 21, 1980, Kim is a dark, ravishing socialite, model, actress, and television personality with an Armenian father, well known L.A. attorney Robert Kardashian, friend and defender of O.J. Simpson, and Dutch/Scottish mother Kris Houghton. Typical of Armenian beauties with long, undulating hair, large smoky eyes and lush features, Kim is known for her social life and her role on the E! reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Featured in the December 2007 issue of Playboy, Kim was also highlighted in the February 2009 issue of Russian Playboy, proving that the world can’t get enough of this 5’2”, 117lb nymph.

A guest judge on America’s Next Top Model, featured on Dancing with the Stars, and with upcoming gigs on CSI:NY, Kim is also a television producer, retailer, parfumier, entrepreneur and Black Book’s favorite full figured home girl.

Simply too hard to resist…
