Russia's Ladies' Baskteball team is not only sensational when it comes to slam dunks and ball handling skills, but the the team is also one of the world's most attractive. And they'll be in action soon at a top European contest to display their beauty on and off court.
It's no surprise that all eyes will be on them as EuroBasket Women 2011 takes place from June 18 to July 3. Also known as the European Women Basketball Championship, the event will take place this year in Poland (Russia's backyard) so expectations are high.
Sixteen teams will fight it out in 3 venues across Poland for the coveted title and the ball-twirling glory. Russia's ladies face a tough group with Lithuania, Slovakia and Turkey but they are sure to progress to an advanced stage in the tournament.
Russia is captained by Irina Sokolovskaya who will hope to guide her team to the final. Another star of Russia's team is Ilone Kortstine who is hoping to take her good form for CSKA Moscow deep into the tournament.
