Shine a Light - Anna Semenovich

Wholesome goodness with perfect features, Anna Semenovich is a Russian multi-purpose force of nature having been a world class athlete, singer in Russia’s top girl singing group, an actress and a model.

Born in March, 1980 in Moscow, this gifted specimen exploded onto the world stage as a champion ice dancer competing in a field of national and world events. Anna soon made off with a drawer full of championship medals with which to keep her eclectic collection of lingerie company. Mind bending busty, it’s said that Anna’s career longevity as an ice dancer was due to exceptional balance and the ability to remain upright in spite of her physical attributes.

Following a career ending injury in 2003 Anna teamed with all girl musical group Blestyaschie or Shiny (look for the upcoming article on Russian girl bands) joining among another tasty morsels in the band, Janna Fiske. Formed in 1996, Shiny is unique as one of the first girl groups in Russia and still maintains a leading edge among all other femme bands in spite of changing of the guard within its ranks of thrushes. Not to miss, they’re collectively adorable.

In 2007, Anna left Shiny to pursue a solo career and the lead in the hit Russian television show All of a Sudden. The series, modeled after the hit American sitcom Suddenly Susan, features Anna as over the top beautiful Alexandra Strelkina, a journalist who writes a column for a slick sensationalist magazine Chick and Glitter. Paralleling her own life, Anna’s character scribes stories about events surrounding the life of a lonely, unmarried, cosmopolitan girl.

Anna, like many Russian girls, is persistent and tenacious, as 2008 found her competing in vain for a spot in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. Not taking defeat lying down, Anna struck back by releasing her own radio single “Vodka, Borscht and Bear Turn a Day into a Party” which became a number one hit for weeks at the top of the charts on Moscow radio.

Never one to remain still, Anna was seen in a hit spy comedy Hitler’s Kaput! The espionage laugher is the first film to feature Anna Semenovich in a lead role.

Recently there’s been news that Anna will pursue a medal in the upcoming Winter Olympic Games. “I am seriously aiming at the gold at the Olympics. There is some information that I cannot participate in the Olympics for various reasons. But these days everything is possible. The main thing is to want to win. Despite all of the gossips I am in a very good sports form which I want to demonstrate to my admirers“.
